Week 5 has arrived and we have a packed list of games.
There are two big clashes in the SEC with Arkansas playing Georgia and Ole Miss traveling to Tuscaloosa to face Alabama. Elsewhere, Cincinnati visits Notre Dame, and Baylor-Oklahoma state actually seems like a must-see.
Check out all the results, reactions and celebrations from across the country.
If Bama-Ole Miss is to be defined by quarterback play and explosions, Arkansas-Georgia will be defined by, as legendary broadcaster Keith Jackson so lovingly called them, the Ugly Bigs. Kirby Smart’s Bulldogs and Sam Pittman’s Razorbacks control the line of scrimmage with aplomb. And online play could be doubly important given the uncertainty of both teams at quarterback.
The build-up to this game, the first top 10 battle against Arkansas top 10 since 2011, was dominated by talk of the quarterback’s injuries. Arkansas’ KJ Jefferson briefly left the Hogs to claim the 20-10 victory over Texas A&M with a knee injury last week and has clearly been limited to training this week. (The same goes for wide receiver Treylon Burks.) JT Daniels of Georgia once missed a game with an oblique injury and is now struggling with a last minute problem. SMU just has great marketing, that’s what we get from it. Seize the moment, if you will.
SMU has used notice boards from local actors in different parts of D-FW over the past three years as part of its “Born and Raised” campaign.
Well, after SMU’s 42-34 victory over TCU, you can now find a new SMU billboard on I-30 westbound in Fort Worth … pic.twitter.com/dTYoaq8MF5

Michigan State coach Mel Tucker certainly appreciates that the Spartans are 4-0 heading into Week 5, and with MSU facing West Kentucky it looks like he’s going to reach 5-0 pretty easily (ESPN Football Power Index gives the Spartans an 89.2% chance of winning).

Now we all know there are a lot of crossovers between college football and the Bachelor franchise. Oh no ? A quick look: Matt James, the newest singles, played football in Wake Forest. One of his teammates at Wake Forest was Tyler Cameron, who was in season 15 of “The Bachelorette”.
It was just announced this week that ESPN’s Jesse Palmer will be the next host of “The Bachelor”. Palmer was once the bachelor in 2004, so it’ll be interesting to see what perspective he brings to the show’s 26th season.

Miami and Virginia played Thursday this week, and that touchdown from Brennan Armstrong at Dontayvion Wicks is pretty spectacular. A little risky. But still impressive.
Brennan Armstrong throws a misguided pass through heavy traffic that is abandoned by the defense and somehow ends up in the hands of Dontayvion Wicks for a 36-yard touchdown in Virginia.
